New & Moving

Hello everyone—

Welcome to the beginning blog post!

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the encouragement, love, and support that has graciously poured into the farm over the last three years since I started selling dahlias in 2021! THANK YOU — to each and every person who has contributed to the journey, whether by purchasing tubers, buying bouquets, or simply engaging on social media platforms, your presence means the world to me.

I started selling dahlias during a tumultuous period in my life — divorce.

Starting off I had very little knowledge about dahlias; however, their captivating beauty had always caught my eye whenever I strolled through the garden.

Over the past three years I have dedicated my time and efforts to focus on self-care and healing with my children, all while learning new skills, conducting thorough research, networking and growing my business.

I am genuinely thankful for the remarkable relationships I have been fortunate enough to form over the years, these connections have enriched my experiences broadening my horizons beyond measure.

Among these significant individuals are my neighbor Terry Smith, who has introduced me to a network of local hybridizers, each encounter has been a valuable learning experience, and inspiring in unique ways.

I am thankful for my parents' support and kindness, welcoming us into their little 1920 farmhouse and encouraging my passion for growing dahlias. They have allowed me to completely fill their workshop with bulb boxes and significantly expand their gardens to accommodate growth to increase the number of varieties planted.

Now, it is time to move on to something new — I am genuinely thrilled about the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, and I am eagerly looking forward to sharing them with you here.
